Newly built in the heart of San Francisco, the Orchard Garden Hotel is California's first generation of truly green hotels--the only hotel built to the nationally accepted standards for green buildings developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), for which the hotel has earned a coveted Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design certification in June, 2007. The Orchard Garden was only the third hotel in the US and the fourth hotel in the world with this certification.

As proud sister to the award-winning Orchard Hotel, the Orchard Garden is a short stroll from Union Square shops and theaters, blocks from the Financial District and the cable cars, and close to the Chinatown gate.

The 86 stylish guest rooms, gracious boardroom, and inviting rooftop garden combine graceful luxury with state-of-the-art design in an intimate, residential atmosphere. Works by locally renowned artists are proudly featured in the lobby. Roots Restaurant serves only the freshest locally sourced organic products whenever possible as well as sustainable meat and seafood at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel also offers room service, complimentary car service Monday through Friday mornings, bike rentals, free weekday newspapers, nightly turndown service, a complimentary DVD library, business center, small fitness center, and discounted day passes to Club One.

Each stylish, eco-friendly guest room is decorated in soothing colors and fabrics and includes high-speed Internet and WiFi access, high-definition LCD TVs with DVD and CD players, iPod docking stations, coffee/tea makers, honor bars, safes, dual-line cordless telephones, and Aveda organic bath products. Green practices include an in-room recycling system, chemical-free cleaning products, compact fluorescent light bulbs, and a 100% tobacco-free environment.
