A remodeled Hausmann-style construction, the five buildings that make up the hotel express both an intimacy with the city and the freedom of expression of an extraordinary designer. The architect, Edouard Francois, and the interior designer, Jacques Garcia, have combined their talents to transcend space and time boasting an entrance hall like no other with a monumental stairway, vaulted walls, warm colors and mirrors reflecting a sparkling atmosphere of twinkling lights. 107 rooms and suites, all equipped with a dressing room, writing desk, contemporary furniture, Wi-Fi connection, high-speed Internet access and a flat screen TV. The restaurant hosts every year the Moliere and Cesar Awards Ceremonies for theatre and cinema, followed by the Jean Gabin and Romy Schneider Awards. The legendary Fouquets has been linked to the magical world of cinema for decades.
In 1990 Fouquets restaurant became a Monument Historique and was thus officially listed as a French cultural shrine. Fouquets restaurant was acquired by the Lucien Barriere group in 1999 and fully redecorated by Jacques Garcia. It is now, more than ever before, an enduring symbol of French Cultural life and is a reflection of the Lucien Barriere Groups and Desseigne-Barriere familys commitment to the world of the big screen.
