The new Donovan House Hotel is located in the heart of the city and only 4.5 miles from Regan National Airport, less than a mile from the White House, and a mile from the Washington Monument.
The Donovan House, located in up and coming Thomas Circle, is a 193 room hotel designed to make Washington DC a lot more fun. Named for Wild Bill Donovan, the legendary general whose covert operations gave birth to the CIA, the luxurious hotel introduces simple, chic but stylish rectilinear lines, strong colors, and clean, architectural materials to recreate a very intimate, new, and stylish environment.
The hotels unique guestrooms feature cocoon spiral showers, leather wrap around beds, wireless Internet access for a daily charge of $11.00, minibar items from Dean & Deluca, bath amenities are from Bigelow, and there is a daily parking charge of $40.00. The room design breaks away from the traditional bathroom and bedroom layout by connecting the two rooms with a special cocoon spiral shower.
