The Commons Hotel is the only full-service hotel on the University of Minnesota campus. The hotel is just 3 minutes from downtown and and 10 miles from the Minneapolis/St Paul International Airport. The spacious hotel rooms feature amenities such as cable TV, coffee makers, hair dryers and complimentary high-speed, wireless Internet access. The rooms offer cable TV and pay per view movies, accessible rooms available, dry cleaning services, great city and university views, in-room coffee service featuring signature Starbucks coffee, large work desk and complimentary wireless Internet. Guests at The Commons Hotel enjoy a variety of amenities, including an on-site fitness center and complimentary access to the sports and recreational facilities at the University of Minnesota. The facility offers an Olympic size pool, basketball and racquetball courts, and full fitness/weight equipment.

Guests also enjoy a Business Center and complimentary shuttle service within a five-mile radius. Based on availability. Shuttle charge may apply for groups and/or reservations. The Beacon Public House
The Beacon Public House is The Common’s new signature restaurant, giving diners an alternative to the local chain and fast-casual restaurants. It features regional-influenced gastropub cuisine, blending local product and character into a refined menu —all with a strong sense of local identity. Featured in our signature restaurant; will hang a dynamic multimedia system. This floating horizontal cabinet, hung above the bar, includes a series of 10 LCD 50-inch televisions. The content will vary depending on the day of the week, and time of day. On game day, bring your friends and watch local favorites and competition from around the league. During cocktail hour and dinner enjoy a montage of video art, adding dramatic ambience through movement and light. For breakfast and lunch, still art will rotate throughout the day, allowing for a subtle playfulness and unexpected guest experience.
