Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel

Having stayed at Sheraton's before we were very happy to find this one was on the list that my son's college had booked for their graduation. When we arrived the staff was friendly, although kept asking personal questions about why we were there. When we got off the elevator the hallways were extremely dark. Our room was adequate but nothing out the ordinary The A/C was not working properly and we could not cool the room down. We had to pay to park in the ""hotel"" garage ($27.00) The attendant told us just give that to the front desk adn the will put it on your bill. We did not realize and there were no signs that we did not have in and out privileges. When we returned later that evening, the garage was full and we were directed to a public garage further down the street. We went there, but since we had a handicapped person with us it was not feasible to have him waling blocks to the hotel. We went back to the hotel adn asked if they had anything closer, yes VALET at $35.00 we were pretty much forced to use it as were many others in the hotel. My son left his cell phone in the car and it took 5 phone calls , 3trips to the desk and 45mutes before we could retrieve it. The next day we checked our bags to be kept until after graduation When we went to get them the bell captain took our receipt , tore it up and left .We waited another 10 minutes and finally went in to find them ourselves. Overall, the hotel itself is not bad , but the staff is sub standard and it ends up being a pricey hotel

I came here with my three children and ailing wife. The manager, who I asked to speak to in order to ensure that everything would go smoothly, was brusque and inconsiderate, which was my experience with all the managers at the hotel. The rooms were dank and poorly taken care of, and the whole place stunk of mildew. My family and I suffered stuffy noses and our trip to Baltimore was ruined by our hostile and repulsive lodgings. Do not come here!

The staff of the hotel were all very helpful and went out of their way to help me. I was traveling alone with an infant and they were great. The room was clean and looked almost new. My only complaint is that parking in the garage under the hotel was not included in my room cost, I had to pay an additional $23 a night for parking.

I stayed at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel about five years ago, before the recent renovation. At that time the hotel was run down and I had no intention of ever staying there again. In November 2008 for a family trip to Baltimore I realized my sister made reservations on the wrong side of the harbor. Not a huge deal but the hotel she booked was ridiculously expensive. I found a few decently priced hotels on online travel web site and decided to try this Sheraton again. The hotel is totally renovated and much improved. From the minute we had the car valet parked until the moment we pulled away the staff was wonderful. The room was exactly what we needed for a short stay. The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have yet experienced. I like the step in shower rather than a bathtub. It seems like a great place for business travelers or those who aren't planning to spend a good amount of time in their room. While the room was comfortable and well appointed, it was basic - no lounge chair, no fridge or safe. I loved the Bliss products in the bathroom. The Starbucks coffee in the morning and the cookies in the evening were also appreciated by some in my family (I missed them both). On the negative side, the room door stuck (as did our neighbors door so this may be a common issue) and we needed to allow lots of time for the elevator (most of the people staying in the hotel were there for the same event - the ND/Navy game - so we were coming/going at the same time). Wonderful stay and will return again soon!

Great location, Very good location, very friendly staff. Outstanding restaurant. First class hotel at a very reasonable price.
