Liked just about everything but the location
The room was clean, and large, with a nice living room and kitchen area. Bathroom was large with lots of counter space, and drawers to store toiletries. Shower and toilet area was a little cramped, but ok. Bedroom had a comfortable bed and a good sized closet with a safe. The bedroom and living room each had their own television and telephone, although I feel that they need to update their televisions. The staff was very helpful and courteous, and the grounds were being maintained daily. Overall, I had a very good experience staying at the Desert Rose. It was not a big deal, but the only thing I didn't like about the Desert Rose is the location. Hooters is the nearest hotel/casino, and although it is only a long block away, you have to walk through a dark, unsecure looking parking lot or steet to get back to the desert rose. At night, I just didn't feel as secure on that walk as I would have on the strip.
desert rose
if you have children and you don't want to have them around all the casino action this is the place to take them plus the staff is super friendly. even if you don't have kids this is a great place to go . without all the casino activity and it is really close to all casinos i rate the desert rose 5 out of 5
Great place to stay!!
Typically, when I visit Las Vegas, I opt for one of the bigger hotel/casino resorts. This visit I needed a kitchen for an athletic event that I was competing. I have to say I loved staying at the Desert Rose. Not a typical Extend a Stay but a condo/timeshare kind of room. It was clean and nice. The location was perfect! Desert Rose is located nestled between the Tropicana and Hooters Hotel. I recommend highly!!
Excellent value
The amenities, staff and cleaniliness of the resort exceeded our expectations. The location was very convienent to the strip, the interstate and the airport, but was very quiet. The room layout was perfect. We had some people over on two occasions and unlike a hotel room, we had places to seat everyone. The kitchen had everything you needed for preparing a meal or just keeping some beverages cold. The breakfast fare offered ws fine. The coffee great. The manager's reception was a surprise that we enjoyed a few nights. If you are looking for comfortable accomadations that don't require you to walk through a casino everytime you go to your room, this is the place. It is not glamorous, but it is very comfortable and functional.
Desert Rose Resort
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean. It is a little bit of a walk to the strip, but it was nice to be away from all the noise. The rooms where clean, and really nice. The breakfast in the mornings was great, just get there early because it gets crowded. We will stay here again.
