This hotel is not in Taipei city area, it's in ShenKeng (about 20mins to nearest MRT station - Cityhall station) and quite near to Taipei Zoo. Anyway, the hotel do provide free shultter van (max. 9 pax per trip) to the nearest MRT station & Taipei 101. The room is new & nice in design, but the poor soundproof that make you can hear your neighbour cleary. The hotel staffs is very friendly & helpful. Overall, this hotel is worth to stay with the price that you pay for in Taipei. We will be back again!!!

Very good Hotel. Price was very affordable. Hotel is new. It is a little far from downtown taipei.

The hotel was wonderful! The lobby was beautiful and our room was not only comfortable but, it was very pretty. The staff bent over backwards to see that our every need was met. Even the bellboy opened our door for us and directed the cab where to take us because we didn't speak Chinese. The front desk exchanged our money for us at the same rate the banks did. We ate breakfast at the buffet every morning and it was delicious. We also had room service and it was quick, hot and very good.\nThe hotel is not in the downtown area but it was close to the zoo and the gondola. It was a short and inexpensive taxi ride to downtown or the MRT.\nIf I ever go back to Taiwan, I would certainly stay at the Holiday Inn Taipei East again.\n
