The Elysian Boutique Villa Hotel

Though the rooms are pretty nice, with private pools, the management is terribly rude and offends sensibilities of westerners. I stayed at the hotel with someone who had stayed there many times before, and though we gave EIGHT days notice of our intention to cancel our room (after staying there for 5 nights at the beginning of our trip), they still made us paid for the room. Totally rude and not the way to garner repeat customers. Not only that, they called our room in a new hotel at about 8 in the morning to "remind" us to send in our payment when just that afternoon we had agreed to pay for the fee, despite our voicing our offense at doing so. As well, they lost a skirt of mine in the laundry and made zero effort to find it or reimburse me.\n\nWhen travelling at top hotels in bali, there are many choices now, so the little things count. I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel and will never stay here again. Look elsewhere, there are many other comparable or better places to stay. It is also not close to the beach, far from kuta (to which the hotel will charge you handsomely to drive you), and situated down a long and dangerous alley type street.\n\nThe rooms are nice, but after dealing with the above, as well as staying at some other hotels in bali that made the elysian look like a motel 6, I will not be returning and recommend to you that you don't stay there either.
