This Staff is 5 Star alll the way!
From the moment we arrived the staff was most attentive, polite, and thorough. No request was too difficult and they responded in a timely, courteous, and efficiant manner, always. My girlfriend lost her camera in a cab. The concierge offered a great solution and was able to contact the cab company, which located the driver and they got it delivered to us as early as the next day. All of the staff members we came in contact with exceeded all of our service expectations. Being in a different country, communication can sometimes be difficult...the staff at the Tokyo Prince Park Tower made us feel right at home and very welcome in their country.
Would never stay there again
The rooms are some of the best designed, most modern rooms we have encountered. Open the door to the toilet room and the lights come on and the seat slowly rises. The lobby area included a well-stocked and reasonably priced high-end convenience store with on-sight, freshly prepared pastries and the like. A convenient and inexpensive place for a snack or breakfast. Their main restaurant on the 33rd floor provided a view of Mt Fuji on clear days. You could also see the Tokyo Tower from various locations. We dined in their sushi and tempura restaurants and enjoyed the changing of the year in their main bar. The meals and drinks were good but way overpriced. Although this was the most Westernized of all the places we stayed during our two weeks in Japan, it was the only place we were made to feel like we were intruders. While the check-in staff were fluent in English, none of the concierges we interacted with were. When asked for a list of nearby restaurants, we were provided with the hotel?s list. When we asked for directions or any help, virtually none was provided. When asked if anything special was going on for New Year?s, they fumbled around in some notebooks for 10-15 minutes and finally shrugged. There was a charge to use the hotel?s computers (only time we encountered a charge) and they were so slow we gave up trying to connect to anything. We were also not too fond of the Roppongi neighborhood. To walk to anywhere from the hotel, you had to pass by a small park where a homeless person had apparently established squatter?s rights, with a huge bag of items. Would we stay there again, absolutely NOT, even if someone else was paying for it.
Great vacation hotel. Read This Review!
I recomend this hotel. Everything was excellent and the staff was overly friendly. We had an upclose view of Tokyo Tower from the bedroom window and the bathroom window (which can not be obtained from just any room!) The staff spoke EXCELLENT english. The only negative remark I can say is the pool/ spa is for 25 years old and up and you can't have ANY tattoos, I have a small one on my arm and was denied entry. You have to * per use any way. Other than that this was a very enjoyable trip.
Just Okay
The location is great... but the rooms are smaller than I expected and I don't think worth the price. Overall just okay...
