Exceptional!!
My sister flew in from NY and I flew in from Phoenix for a girls weekend. For some strange reason, we had a heck of a time finding an available room in Chicago for our weekend. I decided to try Travelocity and I couldn't have been more pleased. What a treat it was to stay at the Sofitel. I lived in the Gold Coast area several years ago so I knew this was the area that I wanted to be in. The location of the hotel is fantastic! The service was phenomenal, when our room was not ready at 3:00 p.m. for check in, the gentleman at the front desk gave us 2 drink coupons for the bar. He then put a rush on housekeeping and told us it would be about 30 minutes. We ventured into the bar, where the drinks and ambience were extremely inviting. We had our drinks, went back to check on our room (which was ready) and proceeded to the 32nd floor (top floor) where we experienced views that made your jaw drop. The room was neat, clean, inviting and the bed was to die for. Also, they host L'Occitane products in the bathroom, what could be better?? We thoroughly enjoyed our gilrs weekend and would unreservedly return to enjoy another stay at a beautiful property!
Worth every Penny!!!!
This place is amazing!! The staff is so freindly and helpful. The rooms are large, comfortable and beatuiful. The location is close to Michigan Ave., great restaurants, etc. We didn't want to leave! Will stay there again.
THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!
DALLAS, TX - This is a very lovely, and trendy hotel. I love the decor! Room was ultra nice and clean. The bed was so plush and comfortable to sleep in. It's pretty much everything you expect a room to look and have. Only thing is it had no refrigerator so I couldn't keep any leftovers. If you are traveling to Chicago with just two people, try adding another pair. The food portions are huge!...especially if you want to try their pizzas and burgers. The hotel is in a great location...just a couple of blocks away from the CTA, the train system. If you want to save money, buy the all day pass. You will use the train pass more often than you think. The pass also work for the buses. I would definitely come back to this hotel if I was to visit Chicago again. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Pizza and Hot Dogs
Hot Doug's had the best dogs I'd ever had. You do have to wait for at least an hour, but it's worth it! It only opens from 10am to 4pm Monday through Saturday. They only take cash. There's one pizza place that is within walking distance from the hotel called Pizzano's which is very good. I have to say it's the best pizza I've had just because the ingredients were very fresh and had a healthy taste and feel to it. - Type:Dining Distance: Requires transportation

Hotel Sofitel in Chicago
Hotel was great. Two things that would prevent me from staying there again. One the bed was too soft and killed our backs. Second was the extravagant parking fees * a night, ouch!
Experience it
There are times in oneâs life when we know an experience is extraordinary. My traveling companion and ventured to the Windy City for a weekend of entertainment, socializing and relaxation and I was impressed by the top shelf treatment we received at the Softiel Chicago Water Tower. The seamless transition beginning with curbside luggage service to prompt, courteous room service was executed by a staff well trained in hospitality. Hotel employees took a special interest in where we were from and our weekend plans. We especially remember Vera and Paula for being pleasant and helpful. In addition, Chef prepared delectable off the menu vegetarian dishes to accommodate my dietary choices. When youâre in Chicago, experience this.
