Great Location.
Hotel Monterey Akasaka has a great location that works on many level.Although not directly served by Airport Limousine Buses,it's at walking distance from the end stop of the Bus service in front of another big Hotel.Since my wife and I had too many luggage, we took a taxi for a minimal fee. Then right in the neighborhood,it has 3 long parallel streets of wonderful bars and restaurants for all tastes and prices. Also surrounded by different cafes for your breakfast convenience and 24 hour stores for drinks and food. Last but not least is that it's close to a main Metro line station. Thus short travels away from most of Tokyo's main neighborhoods. The Hotel staff itself is very courteous and helpful. The rooms are all small in Tokyo, same here,But even with our many luggage,it was very comfortable and slept very well. Again I highly recommend this Hotel for short or longer stays. The price is worth it as well. Attila.
Quiet, efficient service
The hotel staff didn't speak much English, but with booking on an online travel website, check-in was still a breeze - only had to show them my email. The room was fairly small, though all right for Japan. The room amenities were great. The location was excellent - just a short walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke station which, being in the middle of the city, is only a short subway ride from just about anywhere. I'd definitely recommend it!!
GREAT HOTEL, GREAT LOCATION
THE FRONT DESK STAFF SPOKE SOME ENGLISH SO COMMUNICATION WAS GOOD. BE SURE TO REQUEST A NON-SMOKING ROOM IF YOU DO NOT SMOKE. THE BEDS IN THE SINGLE ROOMS ARE NEXT TO THE WALL. WE SHOULD HAVE REQUESTED A DOUBLE SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO CRAWL OVER MY HUSBAND TO GET OUT OF THE BED. TO FIND THE HOTEL FROM THE AKASAKA STATION EXIT THE STATION FROM GATE "A" AND JUST WALK STRAIGHT UP THE HILL ABOUT 500 METERS. THE HOTEL WILL BE ON THE LEFT. IT'S AN EASY WALK AND VERY CONVENIENT. THERE IS PLENTY OF SHOPPING IN THE AREA, PLENTY OF RESTAURANTS AND IT'S A LOVELY AREA. THE HOTEL RESTAURANT IS A BIT PRICEY AND THERE ARE NO ACTIVITIES AT THE HOTEL BUT THERE IS PLENTY TO DO IN THE AREA. WE FOUND THE LOCATION EXCELLENT DUE TO THE CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE SUBWAY STATION. THE SUBWAY IS VERY USER FRIENDLY AND STOPS ARE IN ENGLISH AS WELL AS JAPANESE.
Would recommend
Very good location in Akasaka. Close to Akasaka Mitsuke station and many restaurants nearby. Staff were very helpful. The beds were comfortable and had down comforters. Others have said that the rooms are on the smaller side, but I didn"t find it to be a problem, unless you had a ton of large suitcases(The rooms do not have large closets so you"ll most likely have to leave your suitcase out in the open.)
Great Hotel
I stayed here during my vacation for Christmas and I'm very satisfied with this hotel. The staff are nice and spoke English. The room is clean and new. The location of this hotel is fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
