1st Time In NYC
This was my first visit to NYC so I was not sure what to expect. Embassy Suites is a fantastic hotel and made for an enjoyable trip. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The comforter seemed a bit dingy but otherwise ok. The breakfast was GREAT and the cocktail hour was a nice touch. INTERNET!! The hotel is a bit of a walk to the subway but not too bad on a nice day. I plan on making another trip to NYC in the summer and I will DEFINATELY stay at the Embassy Suites again.
very pleasant stay!
This Embassy Suites will definitely be a choice for a retrun trip to NYC. Everything was great. Friendly staff, good location, very clean & comfortable. We were there for a weekend stay & the accomodations were great. We arrived early morning & while out exploring were called promptly when the room was ready. The staff were helpful with tips about cabs & subway routes. The complimentary breakfast is great! Being able to take advantage of the afternoon refreshment hour just once also left a great impression. Great Amenities! The room was clean & comfortable but a little worn. Would definitely recommend this Embassy marcia in VA
Review of Embassy Suites in Lower Manhattan
My family found the cleanliness, food and manager's reception excellent. Tip, do not touch the cookies and refreshments in the room as there are electronic sensors that will charge you. The staff will remove the charges in a courteous manner, but that takes time.
Very Disappointed...
More than anything, I was disappointed with the staff and lack of customer service. I'm a Hilton Diamond customer, so when I checked in, I asked the girl who checked me in to please attach my Diamond number to my reservation. Her reply was "It won't do you any good. You won't receive any points for your stay because you booked through travel website. I had to virtually beg who to put my number on the reservation. With a disgusted sigh, she finally did. Then I asked her if there was any way that I could get a room with 2 full beds rather than 1 king. Heaven knows that Hilton has asked me to make that exchange more times than I can count, and I've always been amenable to it. They, however, saw this as an upgrade and charged me $* extra per night plus tax for this so-called "upgrade". When I told her that more than one person would be staying the room, she tried to charge me $* extra per person because I had only reserved the room for myself. However, I was able to show her that the reservation allowed more than one person, and I got out of that fee. On top of everything else, the room didn't even have a refridgerator. There was a spot for a refridgerator, but no refridgerator. Some upgrade, huh? I got the impression that this particular hotel will charge you for anything and everything that they can, and in NYC, everything is expensive enough. It leaves the impression that they don't care about their customers. At least, that's how I felt.
Embassy Suites New York North End GREAT
This is my third stay at this location! Staff is great-rooms are large comfortable.clean-they honored my room request! Very helpful staff with directions and suggestions! The Breakfast Buffet and happy hour make this a PLUS!!! Location is wondeful and even a free connector shuttle. We used this to get to World Trade Center-as well as to Battery Park and Wall St area. I will stay at this location again and suggest you stay as well!
