City Inn Westminster

First time staying at the City Inn; convenient location near Tate 1 block from Thames on a quiet sidestreet. Hotel is modern and clean & room was comfortable with operable window for ventilation. Bathroom had 110v outlet for shavers or chargers and a nice shower. Hotel advertises a Mac in every room which is nice, however, the Mac computer doubles as the video player and TV and radio, albeit with a bit of a kludgy interface and I predict that you will likely call the front desk at least once during your stay because it fails to boot up. WiFi and internet access are free. Hotel has a Cafe with a small outdoor/sidewalk section and restaurant which seemed to have a decent menu ;which I did not try. Nearest tube station is PIMLICO, several blocks away. I'd stay again if i returned to London and felt it was a good value.

Very modern property in Westminster. iMac computers are in every room and provide TV as well as the ability to watch DVDs, listen to CDs, and connect to the internet. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and large compared to others in the area. The property is located within short walking distance of Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, London Eye, and several others.

Functional, elegant, quiet, central, safe, value, spacious, helpful. Where to start...this was located in the dead center of London. minutes to walk to Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Tate museum, the London Eye, yada, yada. So close that we did all of those thing in one afternoon! It was a large room by UK or Europe standards (good even for US standards) and the room was spotless. The decor was classy and elegant. The iMac in the room was perfect for work, TV & viewing pictures. It even had Skype preloaded. it's like they have everything i would ever ask for at a hotel. It seems City Inn may be a growing chain. I will always look for City inn when traveling in the UK and Europe for business or vacation. It's fair to say i would pay almost any price to stay at a City inn over other hotels. This may sound like a bogus review but it is not. i am a premium level member of two world-wide chains and of course stay at those places for work related budget and point redemption reasons, but City Inn is my ideal hotel and i will choose it again. Other comments; i travel for pleasure and for work. i have stayed at more than 100 hotels in the last decade. i spend more than 60 nights a year in hotels. it was my first time to London so i can not compare directly; my review stands by itself, but based on pricing, reviews and research and other information i believe it to be valid. i have been to Europe about 5 years ago for 3 weeks; this trip was 2 weeks.

Excellent location in Westminster easy walk to two tube stations. Extremely quiet location . Would highly recommend

The service is grade A!! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean as soon as we returned even if we didn't leave until the evening and we were only gone for 20 mins. The bartender at the hotel bar, Frank, makes the best drinks ever (ask for the franktini). The rooms are very practical with closets, drawers, and a computer with internet access. The showers never run out of hot water and the room service prices were reasonable. The location is within walking distance to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. Its close to everything, but still out of the way off a quiet street. I would definitely stay again!!
