Sheraton on the Falls Hotel

Clean Hotel room, Prompt Service, modern hotel amenities, right in the center of everything to do in Niagara Falls, Canada. Fantastic views.

Our stay in the Sheraton On the Falls was ALL THAT WE HAD HOPED! We had breakfast in the dining room each of the four days. The view is wonderful as you can see all the falls and the food was very good. We also found the hotal staff well informed and very helpful. Our arrangements were well care for.

Not worth to stay in this hotel, not as advertised. No window in the room, if you want window, you need to pay $* extra, also with falls view room have to pay a lot more. To use the wireless internet, you have pay $* more. If you park your car, you have to pay $* more, and it's not even near the hotel, this hotel ***. I give no star.

Our Delux Falls view room on the 7th floor was greatly disappointing and even disturbing. The floor shares the passage to the outdoor pool and was noisy for most of the day and evening.The room was cramped and worst of all, very ,very,dirty..dust bunnies and worse everywhere. IMy allergies for molds were activated everytime I bend to plug something in or opened the closet. There was an extreme paucity of electrical outlets. Thank goodness I travel with 3 extension cords or we would not have been able to plug in phones, Ipods.and camera batteries. Forget about the A/C..I felt like I was in Europe instead of North America. Our toilet was broken and running constantly--I personally had to lift off the top and play with the mechanics after each flush! Towels --hard and too small. The maid service came to make up the room at 4:45pm soI just sent him away after leaving towels and gathering trash. Valet and parking are unreasonably expensive. And best of all, the elevators were constantly out of service leaving long waits at the 1 or 2 still in service. Staff efficiously polite, but not too frendly or helpful. Our friends' room on the 20 floor was nicer..but the elevator waits were worse. The food at the top floor restaurant is expensive, limited in choices, very , very slow !!! and no free refills on sodas or ice tea. Busy , dirty, noisy lobby--nothing elegant or relaxing about it.

Niagara on the Lake vs Niagara Falls

If looking for an elegant and relaxed vacation, stay in the beautiful Niagara on the Lake area, and just visit the Niagara Falls area as a day trip. The Niagara Fall area is a tourist trap which specializes in cheesy,carnival like attractions contrived to separate you from your money. No Class. See it , and then leave..leaving is the best treat of all !! Sheraton-on-the-Falls is dirty and the mechanicals don't work..ie a/c.toilets, elevators, maid service, only the billing service works well $$$. The Crown Plaza may be better if you really want to be in that Falls view location.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Falls! Could not have asked for a better place to stay. Sheraton on the Falls staff were very friendly and helpful. Room view was amazing, only wish there was a balcony and not just an out look. Could also have used a refrigerator in the room. Hotel dining was very pricey - ate only once for breakfast buffet. Must be paying extra for the view. Found great dining at Kelsey's and Edgewaters Tap & Grill. Hotel in the heart of the falls - close to fall attractions and Clifton Hill entertainment area and many, many eateries. Toured wine country, Inniskillins tour was fantastic! Get the Adventure Pass package great value 4 great tours and bus hopper passes. Whirlpool Jet Boat Ride was awesome! Brought you up close and personal to the Whirlpool! Parking was not an issue. Inclosed catwalks brought you to the Hotel, Casino and eateries. Recommend getting the Casino Players card - parking is FREE when used. Area seems very kid friendly. Will definitely make another trip to Niagara and Sheraton on the Falls!
