Cambridge Beaches

Great location, service and facilities. The Romance package had it's desired effect. Staff was very service oriented. Asked for something and you received it. Perfect location for a honeymoon. Everything within resort was within easy walking distance. Close to King's dockyard where you can catch a ferry to Hamilton or St. George. Hamilton is for shopping and St. George for sightseeing. Already planning a return trip.

Excellent food and entertainment. Taxi ride is about 15 minutes and $19 one way.

Very pleasant experience with polite staff anxious to please. Resort somewhat inconveniently located when traveling the island by moped. Resort in general very pretty, quiet location.

Wonderful hotel...just beautiful. We had the best view from our room. The service was excellent! Can't wait to return.

Cambridge Beaches is a fabulous resort. I asked many of the local people what was the best place to stay and most of them sited Cambridge Beaches. The room we had was spotless, a minor problem was immediately taken care of. We arrived late due and had a plate of small sandwiches, cookies, crackers, cheese and fruit in our room or arrival. Nice surprise after spending all day in airports. We had wonderful views from our balcony, the balcony was coverred and it was cool so without the sun we could not comfortably use it. The resort was VERY quiet. Only encountered a few folks at dinner and breakfast, most of the time at the pool and beach we were alone. The grounds are beautiful with crocquet, putting greens, beaches, pools etc. Staff will do whatever it takes to please you. The resort is somewhat isolated, it is a mile walk to the bus stop. There are taxi's waiting to take you where you need to go, but they are expensive. If you want to be close to resturants/shops etc. this may not be the place for you unless you are one of the brave souls who rent mopeds. Off season from January - April meant that there were no water activities available and all the casual dining areas were closed for the season. If you don't want to dress for dinner the only option is to eat in your room, or order room service in the Port o Call bar or walk to the bus stop or two restaurants nearby (mile walk). We will definately stay here again, we enjoyed the facility and people and the place was beautiful and so very clean. It was extremely peaceful.

Rent a Taxi for 1/2 Day

On your first day on the island rent a taxi! The driver will take you to all the highlights of the island and will wait while you participate in activities. You can also get some great tips on restaraunts, etc. and plan the rest of your stay. Cost is around $40 per hour. Well worth it!

Crystal Caves and St. Georges

Visit the Crytal Caves, beautiful 20 minute tour.\nSt. George is a quite little town. You can spend a day there.

Our time spent at the Cambridge Beaches was perfect. We were lucky to have fantastic weather and the coordinator of the hotel was everything needed to make our wedding day uncomplicated and special. She was never pushy and helped us schedule everything per our likes and needs. She arranged for us to have a taxi driver that was informative and friendly. When we arrived at Cambridge she met us to review all our needs and pick the spot for our ceremony (which was breathtaking!). Our view from our room was unmatched from any other experience. It over looked the nook where we got married. My husband and I will always have nothing but fond memories of our time in Bermuda and the day our life together began.
