Weekend Getaway
We enjoyed our stay at the Q. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable;. The best for us was the fabulous free breakfast (the omelet lady is great!) and the free shuttle. Enjoy!
Hotel Revie
The hotel is in a good location, especially if you want to be in the heart of the city or if you are looking to go out and have fun. Our room was clean and the decorating is definitely nice, however, if you are looking for an upscale establishment, this is NOT it. I would definitely not pay a lot of money to stay here, but it was cool for a place to lay my head at the end of the day.
Loved it---great value
Rate was good---services were awesome. used the free shuttle service to hit the Plaza by day and the Power District at night. Free omelets at breakfast and I even tried a yoga class the first night we got in. All free. Bed was good...people nice. Great decor.

the stuff within a couple of blocks
is great. The Flea Market for burgers, the dueling piano bar for fun and Bluestem for fine dining.
A HUGE Disappointment
We checked in to find the hotel's shuttle was booked for a wedding party that night and had to call a cab for a ride to the Sprint Center. That was the first mistake. The room had an outdoor balcony that had trash on it from the guest before. The room hotel overall was hot and humid and the room was worse. The bed was not a Queen bed, but a full size. The furniture in the room was worn and marred. The bathroom fan fell out of the wall and the walls had paint bubbling up everywhere from the humidity. We called the front desk to try to upgrade to another room, to which I was told they were full and would send someone to clean up the trash. The y told me that is the way the fans sound. Mistake 2. I went to use the iron in the room which upon filling with water leaked all of me and the sink because it had a crack somewhere. I went to the desk to get a new one, and was given one with no apologies made. The only saving grace was the bartender pouring heavy for the free drinks and the breakfast the next morning. The area of town was swarming with local police due the amount of bars around this hotel and were pulling over and aresting people left and right. We were even a witness to the local police helicopter doing fly by's for about 10 minutes with the spotlight signing down. Mistake 3. I did not feel safe in this hotel and felt it was quite a waste of my money. I did not feel the "green" experience at all and thought the upgrades they made were nothing but cheap paint and trim.
GREAT STAY AND FRIENDLY FOLKS
My daughter and I came from Enid Oklahoma to attend a WWE event at the Sprint Center. Not knowing where it was, I especially enjoyed the free shuttel that took us to the event and picked us up. I also enjoyed the free drinks and the people were just great. They made sure that we got whatever we needed. My daughter loved the free breakfast (she recommends the waffles). They also make one mean omlet. The bedding was super comfortable but the pillows were a little on the hard side. All in all, the next time we take a trip to Kansas City, we will be staying at this hotel. We've stayed at other hotels in Kansas City that cost a lot more and recieved A LOT less.
