Great Rooms/Bad Service
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend event we were attending in Chattanooga. Upon check-in the desk clerk said he had to verify with housekeeping that our room was ready (we arrived around 5PM, check-in is 3PM) and asked us to wait about 5 minutes. After about 8 minutes, I went back to the desk clerk to see if our room was ready only to be told he'd have to check and asked me to wait another 5 minutes. After waiting the requisit amount of time, I went back to the clerk who apparently tried again to get ahold of housekeeping. Eventually we were switched to a different room. I would have expected this had we arrived before or close to check in time, but that was not the case. Strike One. After dinner, we went to the outdoor pool to relax by the beautiful gas fire pit only to discover that the pool closes at 10:00PM every night even though it is located directly accross from, and could be monitored by, the front desk. Strike Two. At breakfast the next day (10:30AM), we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. While waiting, I counted 5 empty yet unbussed tables that staff members kept passing without clearing. Strike Three. Lastly, the staff uses the guest elevators which made the elevators crowded and slow, especially around check out time. Strike Four. Although the rooms were clean, the lobby beautiful and the beds very comfortable, I'd think twice about staying here again given the price.
Great Hotel.......
Listed on Travelocity as a good hotel, but it was better than that. The hotel was very clean and very nice staff.

Construction across street
New construction across from hotel, but doesn't affect hotel stay. Listed as one bock from the aquarium, but since the construction, it's about two.
Wow!
I took a chance on this one for a business trip and it is a truly beautiful hotel. They have all of the things you want, and everything appears to be brand new - right down to the Wolfgang Puck coffee maker and coffee. I still can't believe the price for such a wonderful place! I will be going here for all future trips to Chattanooga. The only *tiny complaint I have is, they charge you 7.00 to park in their open lot - 8.00 for valet.
Great hotel
Hotel is being changed into a double tree hotel it's going too be a nice hotel ! The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I Felt Like Alice in Wonderland
It seemed that everything in our room was too big for the space. The nightstands were turned sideways because they would not fit turned the correct direction. The bed was against the air conditioning unit with no space to walk between the two. There was no room to walk past the end of the sofabed when it was open. The bathroom door would not open fully because it kept hitting the end of the toilet. Despite these factors the room was clean and smoke-free as promised. It was close to the attractions we visited. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and helpful. I looked into a few other rooms on our floor while the maids were cleaning and noticed those rooms looked normal. The bathroom doors opened fully and the furniture was all turned the right direction. Maybe items in our bathroom had been repaired and new items were installed that were the incorrect size. Maybe the bed should have been a queen not a king. It wasn't bad for one night, but if we had stayed longer, I would have requested a different room for my family of 5.

Trains and Boats
Our toddlers loved the trip to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum for a 3 mile train ride (tunnel included). They also enjoyed taking the water taxi located on the river behind the aquarium over to Coolidge Park to ride the carousel and play at the splash pad. I reccommend parking in the open lot by the river if it's not too hot outside. It costs $5 for anything over 4 hours, but the parking garage was $8 for 3 hours.
