Great hotel
The staff is very nice and helpful at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location, not far from the old town and within walking distance of everything. There are many nice amenities at the property such as free lattes and cappucinos from the lobby machine and a very nice gym/pool.
Last-Minute Treasure find
A real treasure. My husband and I fell on the Pur by luck (mixed with a little blessing!) After a family stay in Old Qc just a few weeks ago, we came back for a one-day trip. Under its old-world charm, we changed our mind about driving back home and scurried for accomodations for the night during the thick of the 400th anniversary. The Marriot worked with Pur to get us a last minute booking. WOW! is all we can say. After our disappointing stay at the 4-star a few weeks ago, we fell in love with Hotel Pur and its warm, friendly, professional staff. We did not blink an eye to book our next family vacation two months from now! Highly recommended for above all its staff, its beautiful modern decor, and the amazing espresso machine in the lobby :)

great location and staff
Yes, it's "minimalist" design, and if you want flowery wallpaper, go somewhere else. But this place is great -- exceptionally attentive staff, free gormet coffee, convenient parking (a real plus in Quebec!), and a location that can't be beat -- 5 minute walk from espace 400, the heart of the anniversary celebration at the Old Port, a shorter walk to a great market, easy access to fabulous bike trails, and a fair walk to the old city. All the problems in the previous reviews are resloved -- the pool is large and all finished. If you can, ask to reserve a room ending in 08 or 10, and above the 10th floor -- the view of the church and city beyond is great!

Quebec City July '07
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. There was some renovations during our stay but they were limited to the exterior & lobby and really had no affect on our stay. The bright & sunny pool area is one of the cleanest I have seen in some time (limited occasions). The immediate area has undergone a major renovation in recent years and is very clean and welcoming with a new coffee shop & MEC right next door. You can tell this part of the city is on the rise. While it is a little walk to Old Quebec we did manage it there and back with our 7 & 9 year girls.......with a little encouagement. \nWe found it very good value and would definetly stay here again.\n\n\n
