Shangri La Hotel The Marina Cairns

This is an amazing hotel and upon check-in we actually got upgraded to a junior suite. The hotel is located right next door to the Ferry Terminal where all the tour boats depart from so, this was very appealling. We did 2 tour which departed from the Reef Terminal and we got to sleep in due to the close proximity. This is also acros the parking lot from town so, a very convenient hotel to stay in. We debated a lot of properties in Cairns and Palm Cove but decided on Cairns for its proximity to the reef, restaurants and airport as we were only in Cairns for 3 nights we did not want to spend a lot of time in tour buses, cabs etc. The hotel has amazing service and extremely clean rooms!

Best location in Cairns - and the hotel is to be recommended. Great service and nice rooms. I'd rate it as a good 4 star - and would certianly stay here again - particularly if I could obtain the same low rate!

Beautiful view - make sure your view is worth it. Staff are excellent.

Absolutely the top of the line.Views from rooms are the best. You must get a room over the marina. Horizon club is a must. Staff is there for your every need. Tours can be booked right in the hotel. 1st time in Cairns, wouldn't stay anywhere else.
