Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa

All of the employees in this hotel were very courteous. We had prompt service anytime we asked for it. We did not visit the restaurants in the hotel, because there were numerous places to eat at the train station, but they also had a conveniece store that had rice balls and sandwiches and pastry, if you wanted a light snack. They had delivery service if you wanted to send a box somewhere in Japan and also free internet. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The concierge desk was very helpful and helped us with all our questions. They could all speak English. The only thing that was a negative was the long walk, slightly uphill, from the train station. It was 5-10 minute walk depending if you were going downhill or uphill. We took the taxi for $7.10 a couple times when we had too many heavy bags.

Ensure you book the Grand Prince New Takanawa - has udnergone a nice renovation to its rooms and soon public areas. Large modern rooms, some with great views over tokyo. Easy walk to Shinagawa station that connects you to the local subway or Narita Airport Express.\n\nBreakfast room a little dated adn food was ok - some room for improvement.\n\nFitness centre is located in the adjacant Sakura tower - great new equipment and the wlak back through the Japanese Garden is very relaxing.\n\nHighly recomend this hotel for business or leirsure.
