This small hotel is family run and benefits from the personal touch. Reception staff were knowledgable and helpfull. The Hotel is next to the River . The rooms are tradition and clean, with all the facilities such as a small safe. Good small restaurant, fascinate pool and lovely garden. Excellent value for money.

The Lanna Mantra Hotel was a refreshing contrast to the large luxury highrise hotel we took in Bangkok. Located just out of the city centre (around 10 mins by car)and adjoin to the Ping River, the Lanna Mantra Hotel is a quiet oasis. A boutique style hotel, the setting is tranquil, with a nice property walled in from the street. Lush gardens and pool area locate next to Ping river. Rooms are simple, but well appointed which is a quaint and traditional style bedroom and bathroom. They staff are wonderful who will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable in a lush and cozy setting. Add cheap and wonderful food and drinks, a complimentary shuttle van to city, shuttle boat to warolod market also airport pick up and free internet and I don't know what's not to like!

We stayed here for 5 days during April, coinciding with Sungkran. We had read so many excellent reviews on this site and had high hopes. We were not disappointed. The hotel as other travellers have stated is about 10 minutes tuk tuk ride from the centre of Chiang Mai. The hotel is a little way out of town, but the hotel has a very useful free shuttle service at 10 and 5 each day and also a boat service in the mornings down the Ping River down to the town. And coming back is just a 10 minute tuk tuk ride. There is an infinity pool at the back of the hotel looking at the river Ping and while is not very long, it is really nice. There are also three exercises machines if you feel like working out. There is also a very small bar for refreshments.The hotels is traditional Thai Style and the room is very beautiful. Very highly recommended!

This hotel is simply lovely.It locate on the river in a beautiful setting away from the noisy and crowded downtown area. Rooms are exquisite The staff welcomed our family, were very attentive to our young children and even surprised my husband with a birthday cake! . The breakfast offering is ok and the restaurant is limited.

What a worthy hotel ! The room rate is so cheap but the room is just exactly like 5 stars hotel, there are also planty of complimentary service they provided!!! The restaurant served tasty dishes with a very very cheap price. I never gone out for any restaurants. Outdoor swimming pool is a legend for me. Ping River View is in the front. I love this hotel and I always will!!!!
