The Hotel Carlton, which reopened in May 2004 after a $6-million renovation, is ideally located five blocks from Union Square and approximately 15 miles from San Francisco International Airport. The hotel is also three blocks south of the California Cable Car line that passes through historic Chinatown and the Financial District.

This hotel is a non-smoking establishment and amenities include high-speed Internet access in the lobby, luggage storage, valet parking (fee applies), concierge, laundry/valet service, and a library. Guests may also enjoy Saha Restaurant, which serves affordable Arabic fusion cuisine, and a complimentary glass of wine at the Manager's nightly wine reception.

Guest rooms feature imported hand-painted Moroccan tables, Lucite-beaded table lamps, easy chairs, ceiling fans, wood blinds on windows, marble-topped writing desks, cable TV, Internet access, voicemail, coffeemakers, safes, irons, ironing boards, and hairdryers.

The Hotel Carlton is proud to be certified by the City of San Francisco as a Green Business. Green businesses help reduce waste and protect our environment by employing pollution prevention practices, minimizing waste, and conserving energy, water as well as other natural resources. Hotel Carlton is one of the few hotels in San Francisco equipped with solar panels. Hotel Carlton is also a non-smoking and pet-friendly hotel.
